This week saw the second of what is set to become monthly Exclusive Events hosted at Piatto, Cedar Square. Entitled ‘Flavors of Cedar' this month's event saw the best of perfume, fashion, eats and face care  on offer for 20 of Cedar Square's select customers.

"We thought the implementation of these Exclusive Events was the perfect way to thank the Cedar Square customer for their loyalty and support and to further grow our customer base," explains Fourways Precinct Communications Executive, Gayle Crow.

Guests were treated to informative presentations and product samplings as well as a Dermalogica skin bar sponsored by Lab Skin + Body. The ladies of the Cedar Women at the Square Movie Night recently took the opportunity to give back to those less fortunate by donating gifts for underprivileged children in the local community.

Hosted by Cedar Square with guest presenter Kate Turkington, the evening takes place once a month and guests are spoilt with goody bags, fantastic prizes and a movie premier. "This month we decided it was the perfect opportunity to give something back," explains Fourways Precinct Communications Executive Gayle Crow. "The Festive Season is special for most but it's important to remember those less fortunate and do what we can for them."

The evening also saw master craft jewellers Jenna Clifford handing out 3 gift vouchers valued at R10 000 each as part of a jewellery restoration lucky draw competition. "Every month we have around R40 000 worth of prizes to give away and we love seeing how the ladies dress up to compete for the coveted best dressed prizes," explains Crow.

Twenty lucky Cedar Square customers were treated to an evening of cognac and cigar tasting at Cubana Latino Café in the final week of October.

The first of many still to come, the monthly Cedar Exclusive Events aim to acknowledge and reward Cedar Square customers by providing an evening of luxury entertainment.

From welcome gifts to fantastic prize giveaways - the evening was a splendid success.

This month the Cedar Women at the Square hosted a ‘Pink Party' in support of breast cancer awareness month.

A monthly event, Cedar Women at the Square is a ladies only event hosted at Ster-Kinekor by Cedar Square and involves a movie premier as well as great goody bags for each lady in attendance and lucky draw prizes to the value of over R30 000. Each evening is themed and ladies are encouraged to dress up in order to stand a chance of winning the fabulous prizes.

"We've all been affected by breast cancer in one way or another and we thought a ‘Pink Party' would be a wonderful way to show our support for the fight against it", explains Fourways Precinct Communications Executive Gayle Crow.

Master craft jeweler, Jenna Clifford provided each lady in attendance with a stunning breast cancer amulet as a symbol of the cause and 702's Kate Turkington was on hand to entertain the ladies with tales of wonderful travel and life adventures.

Our Winter Holiday Programme is in full swing and will run until 15 July. This weekend saw face painting, ice sculpting and of course our wonderful fresh, family market that takes place every Saturday from 10am - 2pm. The programme is as follows:

This month's movie evening took place on Wednesday 29 June and great fun was had by all. Our theme for the evening was Swinging Sixties and the ladies once again went all out to look their best. Our next evening will take place on Wednesday 27 July - more details to follow shortly.

This month's theme for our movie evening was an adjective party - thanks to all for dressing up and helping to make the night one to remember. Next month's event is on 19 May - we look forward to seeing everyone again for more laughter, fun and entertainment!

Cedar Fresh Family Market Launch

Our much anticipated Family Market was launched on Saturday 26 March at Cedar Square. We had wonderful items on offer - from freshly made French pancakes to hand-painted pottery and hand made jewellery. Visit us every Saturday from 10am - 2pm for a wonderful family experience.

Dainfern College hosted a CANSA Shavathon station at Cedar Square on Saturday 5 March. Moms, dads and kids all joined in the fun and had their hair shaved or sprayed to help raise funds for the fight against cancer. Thanks to all our loyal Cedar Fans who joined in the fun.

Cedar Square celebrated Valentine's Day with an evening of glitz and glammer this year. The much anticipated I DO magazine was launched at Ster-Kinekor and saw celebrities such as Mathew Booth and his lovely wife enjoying a movie premier and other great goodies.

Our Cedar brand ambassadors were also present for the evening and strolled through the centre handing out roses to couples enjoying a romantic dinner accompanied by the soulful tunes of the Soweto Gypsies.

Cedar Square recently showed its support in the fight against cancer at the Cancer Association of South Africa's (CANSA) head office golf day that was held at the Bryanston Country Club.

Held in celebration of CANSA's 80^th anniversary in the fight against cancer, the event saw celebrities such as Derek Watts, Graeme Joffé, and Mac Masina take on members of CANSA's staff and Executive Council in a four ball challenge.   

Cedar Square proudly sponsored four R1500 gift vouchers to the tenth placed team as well as value packed gift bags that were handed to each of the 60 participants.
